At Realistic Sobriety, we believe in a holistic and forward-thinking approach to addiction treatment. Our philosophy combines harm reduction strategies with tailored therapies and personalized treatment plans, addressing both the simple and complex aspects of addiction. Our goal is to meet each individual exactly where they are on their journey, providing compassionate, evidence-based support that fosters lasting recovery.
Harm Reduction
Our harm reduction approach is centered on minimizing the negative impacts of substance use and promoting health and safety. By providing essential services such as needle exchange programs, safe consumption spaces, and overdose prevention, we create a supportive environment where individuals can begin to heal without judgment or stigma.
Tailored Therapies and Treatment Plans
We understand that every individual's journey through addiction is unique. That's why we offer a range of innovative therapies, including EMDR, Binaural Audio Therapy, Red Light Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and CBT. These therapies are integrated into personalized treatment plans designed to address the specific needs and goals of each person we serve.
Nutritional Support
Nutrition plays a critical role in overall health and recovery. Our approach includes nutritional support to help individuals rebuild their physical health, address deficiencies, and develop healthy eating habits. By focusing on nutrition, we support the body's natural healing processes and enhance the effectiveness of our treatment programs.
Basic and Complex Needs
Addiction is a multifaceted condition that affects every aspect of an individual's life. Our comprehensive approach addresses both the basic and complex aspects of addiction. From managing withdrawal symptoms and providing medical care to tackling underlying psychological issues and social determinants of health, we ensure that all areas of need are covered.

We as a country, as a community have seen so little progress on this issue in the last decade that Realistic Sobriety is not something that should feel like a necessity, but it clearly is. For anyone who has lost someone to addiction and thats hundreds of thousands of people, likely more. 10 years ago I would have guessed that we would have gone in the opposite direction, however harm reduction, seems to somehow interwine with politics and that is just not something that should be a debate. Its as simple as this, we need to stop losing people.
With the founding of Realistic Sobriety my rtrue hope is that it can at least open new doors, new avenues. We have been stuck in the past, stuck in aa polarized view of a person with an addiction must be completely ceabit or abstinent from all drugs immediately or in full blown addiction where life everyday multiple times a day is a coin toss, a game of russian roullette. I truly hope that and I am confident that this will bring new aspects to the addiction world otherwise Ithis wouldnt be something worth starting if there wasnt an absolute genuine feel and ambition behind it. People need to stop dying, and families, lives need to stop being ruined.
It is with sincere words I say Iwe will bringnew research. new discoveries, innovative treatment options to the field from this. It is my hope other organizations will work together with us to put our strengths together and be efficient as time is a luxury we do not have. It is also important that community leaders and communities themselves be open to implementing options.
This is not a blue or red issue. Not a rich or poor issue. It is a human issue. There is no reason everyone regardless of socioeconomic factors, background, skincolor, or whatever is used to derive a wedge is removed to utilize and support each other.
